CAMPUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL TEACHER BIOS
Heather Snyder – received her teaching degree from Niagara University in 1994 and her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix in 2008. This is her 22nd year of teaching. After starting her career in Texas, Heather joined CMSD in 2001. She has obtained the level of Master Teacher for the state of Ohio and most recently became a facilitator for the 9 Essential Skills for the Love and Logic Classroom. Outside of the classroom, Heather enjoys a very active lifestyle with her husband and two sons.
Lindsay Dottore – received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Kent State University, along with her Early Childhood Teaching Licensure and Master’s of Early Childhood Education from Cleveland State University. She student-taught at CIS in first grade. She has eight years experience working in International Baccalaureate schools. Much of her experience is from Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Second Grade. This is her fifth year with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. In her free time, she enjoys staying active, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Kathleen Taylor – earned her BA in Education from Heidelberg College in Tiffin Ohio in 1993. She received her Master’s degree in elementary science curriculum from CSU in 2000 and has been teaching in the district for 24 years. When she is not teaching she enjoys birding, hiking and spending time with her teenaged sons and husband.
Renee Hubeny – graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Baldwin Wallace University and recently earned the K-12 Reading Endorsement. Her favorite pastimes include going to the movies and spending time outdoors. She is excited to be teaching at CIS. This is Renee’s second year at Campus International.
Patricia Fairman – earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Dayton in the areas of special education of cognitively handicapped, outdoor education and grades 1-8. After graduation, Pat attended John Carroll University and obtained certification in teaching students with both emotional and learning disabilities. She returned to John Carroll University in 1992 to obtain her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Pat enjoys travel, having visited many European countries. Pat hopes to visit China in the coming years. Pat has taught for 28 years in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
Debra Wightman – completed a dual major at Bowling Green State University in Elementary Education and Special Education. Her M.Ed is from John Carroll University. This is her 18th year teaching in Cleveland. She has taught both general and special education classes for CMSD. Her hobbies include kayaking, bike riding on the Cuyahoga Valley towpath and trying out new recipes for family and friends.
Susan Meaker – is entering her 18th year of teaching in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in industrial Relations from Xavier University. In1998, Susie received a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Specific Learning Disabilities from Baldwin-Wallace College. In her free time, Susie enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and two sons.
Cynthia Mori – is in her 19th year teaching with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. She received her teaching degree from Ashland University and has a Masters degree in curriculum and instruction. She enjoys spending time with her two children, running, cooking and reading just about any book.
Sonji Hill – earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. She received her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a technology endorsement from Cleveland State University. Sonji has been teaching for 22 years, she is in her 20th year with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. She loves traveling and exploring the world with her husband and three daughters.
Jennifer Humphrey – earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Cleveland State in 1998 and her Master’s degree in Education in 2002. In 2012, Jen obtained Master Teacher for the state of Ohio. This is her 17th year of teaching and has experience in all grades preschool through second grade. She loves to spend time with her husband and two children outside riding bikes and playing sports. In her free time she LOVES reading and going to the movies.
Marrisa Chambers – is in her first year teaching at Campus International. She graduated from Kennesaw State University in Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Originally from Peachtree City, Georgia she moved to Cleveland in 2015. Marissa enjoys teaching and learning new things, especially from her students. Her favorite subject is mathematics. In her free time she likes to run, read, travel, and explore advances in technology. Marissa also enjoys sports.
